Granite Moon
This is a new series of abstract paintings inspired by the rugged landscape that surrounds me, the foothills and mountains of Northern California’s Sierra Nevada range. My original focus was on the wild rivers but I soon realized my creative interest was drawn not to the water but to the rocks that contain it. The water is always moving, a brief visitor passing through, but the rocks have been here in one form or another for a hundred million years. They bear silent witness to the history of this place that I call home.
